What is the "Shema?" It's a prayer that calls God's people to respond to the divine love with faithfulness and devotion. Is hearing and listening the same thing? This small group study is authored by Margaret Feinberg. Genesis and the Gospel of John are written to spark your desire to pursue a deeper relationship with Christ. From God walking in the garden with humanity to Jesus hunched in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, this twelve week video study will awaken you to the Lord's beauty and love in a fresh and transformative way. This study will meet at the home of Duane & Patty Stowe beginning on September 16th and will meet on the first & third Sunday each month. Fellowship meal begins at 5:00pm and the study begins at 6:00pm
Like the Israelites in Babylon, Christians today may feel they are in unfamiliar territory, surrounded by a culture with customs and practices foreign to their faith. In these times of dislocation and powerlessness, God wants to help his people experience anew the possibilities of covenantal faithfulness. This study invites the church to embrace this modern time of 'exile' and to seize this unique opportunity to be a blessing to the culture around us. This study will meet at the home of Britt & Jill Clay beginning on September 16th and will meet on the first and third Sunday each month. Fellowship meal begins at 5:00pm and the study begins at 6:00pm
Eastwood Baptist Church seeks to be a sharing, caring and inspiring fellowship of believers that strives to include everyone in its mission and ministry. Established in 1953, we are a historical church that has firm roots in the past, but is also aware of its place in the present while looking toward the future. Our worship is blended, our make-up eclectic, and our fellowship is real. Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:50 a.m. and let us get to know you!
